Who We've Helped

Aug. 2006 First Rafael Gaspar Memorial Golf Tournament organized by Rafael’s friends near San Diego. Proceeds donated to Donate Life in L.A. to buy equipment for their information program on Organ Donation for California HS students. Extended family and participants dedicated a

August 2007 Second Rafael Gaspar Memorial Golf Tournament held in Santee, CA. With the help of several sponsors for food and prizes, proceeds once again went to Donate Life in CA.

March 2008 First Rafael Gaspar Open Racquetball Tournament in Denver, CO, organized by Rafael’s sister Maylen, generated interest in future tournaments in his honor. Proceeds went to Donate Life in Colorado.

Money raised over the years have helped with some of the medical expenses for Love for Jake a beautiful toddler who just lost his battle with cancer 8/2014. Help cover the burial and memorial expenses for 3 month-old. And other families with

4th Rafapalooza in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. First annual Cornhole Tournament, a gathering of family, friends, and newcomers, initially to celebrate Rafael's fun-loving, competitive spirit. Organized by Rafael's sisters Cristina, Maylen and Chandra and expected to grow in subsequent years . Hopefully a springboard for future development of the Rafael Gaspar Memorial Foundation and its projected activities to aid and inspire hope in families in crisis due to serious illness, to support organ transplant and create adventures for brave, new explorers.
